LCD Driver Overview
LCD Interfaces include:
-Single Channel LVDS (6/8 bits per color)
-Dual Channel LVDS (6/8 bits per color)
-Four Channel LVDS
-TTL (6/8 bits per color)
LCD Drivers need to provide all signals, power and timing to match the requirements of the LCD.
LCD's can only accept video that matches the pixel resolution and refresh rate of the LCD.
Systemation has 2 categories of LCD drivers:
- Scalar boards
-Single-Use Adapters boards
Scalar boards have multiple types of video inputs, and can upscale or downscale video. Scalars also convert the frame rate of the incoming video to match that of the LCD. Systemation Scalar boards can be used with LVDS and TTL type LCDs.
Single-Use adapter boards convert one type of video input usually to LVDS. Single-use adapter boards do not scale video. The input source video must be the same resolution as the LCD.
